Artists based at Inverness Creative Academy are looking forward to hosting an open studios weekend as part of the Doors Open Days Festival this year.

Inverness Creative Academy was transformed by Wasps into the first creative hub for the Scottish Highlands in 2021. It offers working accommodation for artists, makers, creative industries, social enterprises and charities. The building also boasts stunning events spaces that are used to host exhibitions, markets and screenings.

The Victorian-era former Inverness Royal Academy building was opened in 1895, and served as a school until 1980 when it was relocated to Culduthel Road.

The artists based at Inverness Creative Academy are hosting an open studios weekend, giving the public the opportunity to explore their private creative spaces. There will also be guided tours with Wasps’ staff leading visitors around the building to learn about the history of the former schoolhouse. To book a spot on one of the tours, click here for the Eventbrite page.

Members of the Wasps team will be offering guided tours around the building for visitors to see the former schoolhouse and explore the artist studios.
