Formerly the warehouse of cigarette manufacturer John Players, Hanson Street Studios was redeveloped in 2001 to become Scotland’s first purpose-built studio and events complex.
Hanson Street accommodates up to 200 artists and features a large events/gallery space on the ground floor. The building is also the home of Glasgow Ceramics Studios and Glasgow Glass Studios.
Hanson Street’s facilities include 77 artist studios across three floors, ranging from 175sqft to 1000sqft. Tenants benefit from having full accessibility, on-site parking and close proximity to Glasgow city centre by bus or cycling.

Starting costs for external hires: £220 for the week (not including staff hire for weekends)
Hanson Street’s Project Space is on the ground floor of the building, with floor to ceiling windows on one side facing out to the car park.
The space is used for market events and exhibitions.
