Langstane Studios is a former print works located in the centre of town, just off Union Street.
With support from the Scottish Arts Council Capital Lottery Fund, Aberdeen City Council and Scottish Enterprise Grampian, Wasps was able to acquire and redevelop this building in 2005.
Langstane Place, as it’s commonly referred to, sits on the road of the same name, named after the ancient standing stone at No10. The building benefits from having a tenant-led gallery and workshop space on the ground floor, which is used for open studios events and small scale exhibitions.
Based in Aberdeen, printmaker Ade Adesina RSA said of his experience working at Langstane Place:
‘I don’t think I would have been able to achieve everything I’ve managed to do in the last couple of years without this space. It’s almost like my living room that I come to every day. It’s opened a lot of doors.’
