Perth Creative Exchange is a £4.5m partnership project between Wasps and Perth and Kinross Council which transformed the former St John’s School building to create Perth’s inspiring home for artists, makers, creative industry professionals and the general public.

Perth Creative Exchange is Wasps’ twentieth building, and the first studio building in this region. The complex was opened to tenants in October 2019 and officially opened by the Provost of Perth and Kinross on 26 February 2020.

Perth Creative Exchange provides vibrant and connected spaces over three floors including:

staffed reception Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm (excluding Bank Holidays)
26 studio spaces for designers, artists and makers, ranging in size from 150–580 sq. ft.
13 workspaces for creative industries and cultural social enterprises, ranging in size from 100–1,400 sq. ft
the Perth Ideas Centre, with high spec printing equipment and computers for building users
the Creative Business Incubation Space
the Gannochy Project Space, for exhibitions and events
the Forteviot Workshop Space, for workshops and life drawing classes
staffed reception during office hours
meeting rooms available to hire

Forteviot Workshop Space

The Gannochy Project Space

The Gannochy Project Space is large ‘white cube’ gallery space suited to a variety of works and media. In total, the space measures 361.6sqft. Click here for the information pack.

Dedicated desks

Package includes: a dedicated desk with lockable pedestal, he ability to use your space as registered address, handy transport links via the city centre, 24/7 access to the building, WiFi and lockers.

Community darkroom

With support from UNESCO City of Craft and Folk, Perth Creative Exchange now has a photography darkroom for the local community to use.

The cost for an individual to use the darkroom is based on what materials need replenished. Workshops cost £40 per 4 hours (for a maximum of 4 participants) before accounting for material replenishment.

Community kiln room

With support from UNESCO City of Craft and Folk, Perth Creative Exchange now has a ceramics kiln and glass kiln for regional artists to book.

The kiln room can be booked by individuals for £10 per day (9am-5pm) or for running workshops at £40 per 4 hours (for a maximum of 4 participants).
