Since opening in October 2023, nearly 80 artists have found their creative home at Riverside House.
Riverside House is Wasps’ newest studio provision in Edinburgh, offering exclusively artist spaces in this concrete office block. Located in the Gorgie Road area, Riverside House was acquired by Wasps in 2023.
Gorgie is in the west end of Edinburgh, and boasts many small local businesses along the main road where Riverside House is located.
Sculptor and painter, Laura Cullen has said of her time at Riverside House:
‘I’m an artist and arts educator based in Edinburgh for the past eight years, and I moved to a studio in Riverside House in April 2025 after my home studio started to outgrow my small living room. Having my own creative space has been invaluable in allowing me to expand on my practice in painting and sculpture in a dedicated, focused way. The most special thing to me about having moved to Riverside House, though, is the creative community I’ve found here – being surrounded by other artists in many stages of their own careers has been so encouraging and motivating for me.’

The Riverside House Teaching Space is located on the second floor, used for workshops, meetings or talks.
Riverside House is fully accessible with nearby toilet facilities and clean up room for messy practice.
